The Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE 2024) wrapped up at Speke Resort Munyonyo, leaving a lasting impression by celebrating Uganda’s diverse cultures. From lively dances like Kiganda to the colorful Ankarakara, Uganda proudly showed off its rich heritage.
Buyers were excited, joining in the traditional dances with gusto. The expo also displayed beautiful arts and crafts from different Ugandan cultures, showing off the country’s talent.
A highlight was when famous Ugandan boxer Golola made a grand entrance in traditional Buganda clothing, highlighting Uganda’s cultural pride.
Big thanks to the Uganda Tourism Board for making it all happen!
And just when you thought it was over, #POATE surprised everyone again! With captivating performances and dances, there was something for everyone.
You might have even seen people riding bikes inside, giving a taste of Uganda’s mountain biking fun. Even Lilly Ajarova joined in, adding to the fun atmosphere. Biking is not just fun but also promotes eco-friendly tourism.
Lilly Ajarova the Chief Executive Officer on behalf of Uganda Tourism Board I extended her warmest gratitude and these were her words
